Data Privacy Statement.

Alcala Abellar Chan & Co., CPAs (“AAC”, “we”, “us”) values and protects your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

What we collect and why

When you contact us through this website, we collect the personal data you provide — such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, and the contents of your message — solely to respond to your inquiry, provide the professional services you request, and maintain our engagement records as required by law and professional standards.

How we protect your data

We implement reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access is limited to authorized personnel bound by strict confidentiality undertakings, and data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as required by law.

How long we keep it

A message sent through a form on this website is kept for no longer than 24 months, after which it is deleted. That covers the copy in our inbox and the copy our web server keeps as a safeguard against an email going astray.

If your inquiry becomes an engagement, the information in it stops being a website message and becomes part of your client file, which we are required to keep for longer under the Tax Code, the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the professional standards we practise under. Where those requirements apply, they govern.

Who sees it, and who does not

Messages reach the firm’s shared inbox and are read by the partners and by the staff assigned to answer them. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own purposes.

Two service providers process data on our behalf and on our instructions: Google Workspace, which carries the firm’s email, and Hostinger, which hosts this website. Both operate servers outside the Philippines, so sending us a message involves a transfer abroad to those processors. They act only as processors: they are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

How the forms are protected

Everything you type is sent over an encrypted connection. The forms are protected against automated abuse by checks that run on our own server — there is no CAPTCHA and no advertising or analytics network embedded in them, which means that filling in a form on this site does not disclose your address or your browser to any third party beyond the two processors named above. Copies of messages held on the server are kept outside the part of it that the web can reach, and are deleted automatically at the end of the retention period.

Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to rectification, to erasure or blocking, to damages, and to data portability under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. To exercise these rights or raise privacy concerns, contact us at info@aaccocpas.com or 0995 398 9482. We answer within fifteen working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your concern, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission.
